Have you heard of Indra Nooyi?
She's the Chairman and CEO of Pepsico and she's also an incredible role model for working women.
Why?
Not only is she one of the most successful business leaders, but she's fun, warm hearted, original and a humanist.
While topping Forbes.com's list of the 100 most powerful women in the world, Indra Nooyi has a very irreverent personal style...
At Pepsi Co, she has long been known for patrolling the office barefoot, singing in the halls.
So, are you curious to know her Five Cs secrets of Success ?
- Competence (damn good at getting results)
- Confidence (to have the courage to make tough calls)
- Communication skills (to convey your vision and direction)
- Compass (pointed North to your true values)
- Coaching (finding supportive, encouraging and blunt mentors)
What about you and the 5 Cs ?
What are your strengths?
Which "C" do you want to develop?
More to come about leadership styles on my next posts.
WOW! Great, indeed. The 4 Cs kind of sum it up, huh? I believe living by those four can take you nowhere but up! I am always working on my competence; honing it, defining it, putting it to practice. Perhaps the one thing that is lacking in these four things is having people around you that take up where you leave off. I have a great team and ask for help frequently. Team does not start with a C, but might we say Community?

Great, Monica. I can feel how this model relates to you...could pretty well imagine you walking barefoot and singing at your company...:-)
Very good input with the team dimension, or the other C for Company.
There’s always room for improvement, with a little help from our friends!
I know I can always count on you.
Indra Nooyi is also famous for her team spirit, 1 month ago she said, about the bottling acquisitions “ We have devoted the last 10 months to meticulously planning the integration of our companies, and we are fully prepared to launch our new enterprise starting today ... Most important, we have an exceptionally strong and experienced leadership team in place and ready to go.”
